I read this interview and I think we should learn couple of things from it. It is very heartbreaking hearing former Prime minister tearing apart his successor. It reveals the heart of man and how desperate we are to get even with people whose ideals are different. Can you imagine a leader breaching confidentiality? This is a supposed world leader, trusted and respected and yet the leadership quality is absent. Do we have to strip ourselves naked to gain acceptance or do we have to destroy another’s character to have people’s respect? This is how the system of the world runs their game. It’s a pity that the reputation built over time has been destroyed. There are serious lessons to learn from this episode
• Have a grateful heart and appreciate everyone that has contributed to your success. Look beyond their weaknesses.
• Do not be vengeful. It leaves you bitter which distort your decision making ability.
• Do not breach confidentiality.
• Never use the press to express your grievances, you’ll be left to regret it for the rest of your life.
